At Lowes Creek County Park, same place as the July WORS race. Two categories based on tire size (over/under 3"). Two mile laps, 1 hour length. Snowshoe=$25, Bike=$15. This is a fundraiser for the local trails organization.
There is a group that rides the trails year 'round, I am not one of them. I don't know the details of the race. I've heard about groomer development, and that it may involve one of these:

Current snow levels are light. On the ski trails before this last snowfall it was not deep enough for your good skis. Based on what I was seeing when the ground was bare I'd assume a thin layer of ice under much of the singletrack.
