Resident Notificaton Letters

Resident Notificaton Letters

Postby PPlant » Tue Jun 02, 2009 9:48 am

Does anyone have a good solution to the issue of notifying residents along a road race route? We dropped flyers off around the East Union course on 2 separate occasions but with the wind out there, a lot of them simply blew out of the newspaper tubes they were stashed into.

Do you guys do mass mailings?

Thanks,
Paula

If you punch a hole in the sheet you can thread a rubber band through and have something to hang it with so it won't blow away. In a windy situation I'd trifold the sheet and then punch the hole.

I've hung stuff on the mailbox flag without issue. I think the mailbox prohibition applies to the inside of the box.

I just put them in the mailboxes. I know you shouldn't but I don't really care!

If you do that before the mail's delivered, the postal worker will take them out and throw them away, meaning that no one gets notified (except the postal worker). And the post office may take legal action.

Try http://www.Do-Good.biz They do mass mailings at an affordable rate. We used them in Uptown. And then you have a record of who got notified and when, which saved us a lot of trouble when a few businesses on the route claimed to never have been notified.
