Rider of the Year for 2010 PDF Print E-mail

The Rider of the Year (ROY) series has been finalized. We have 8 races. Points will be aggregated from the best 7 races / racer / category.

The 8 races:

  • Ken Woods Memorial RR – Apr 24
  • Birchwood RR – May 22
  • St. Peter TT – June 5
  • Northfield Crit – July 4
  • Synergy TT – July 10
  • Hopkins Crit – July 11
  • Alexandria Crit (of stage) – July 17/18
  • Spunk Lake RR – Aug 21

The points system remains the same as in previous years - 100 points to 1st place, 95 to 2nd place, etc.

There are some category changes this year:

  • The masters 30+ 4/5 field has returned.
  • The women masters field is now a category 3/4 (only) field. It had been an open category field previously.

The 2009 Minnesota State Championship Road Race was held on Sunday, August 30. It was presented by the Minnesota Cycling Team and held on the familiar Sibley County road course near Henderson.

A big thanks Kevin Lennon, the MCT crew, and the officials for organizing an excellent event. Also thanks to everyone who came out to race.
