PRESIDENT’S REPORT (6:35 – 6:40)

·         Welcome

·         USA Cycling announces proprietary online event registration program

·         Stats on membership #’s (active license totals are 40 behind last year 911 vs 972, 86% men 13% women, 32% 35-44, 24% 25-34, 18% 45-54, 9% 19-24, 6% 55-64, 5% 10-18, 1% 75-89) - see meeting minutes

MN Licensed Riders by Age groups


·         Larry Martin discussed online registration system.

o       USA cycling will be implementing an online registration system for 2011. Promoters will not be required to use, it will be opt-in. Promoters will also be able to sell goods. Promoter will have the option to choose start date and end date of registration.  


TREASURER’S REPORT
(6:40 – 6:50)

·         Review of YTD Financial Statements

·         Similar to last meetings financials – see meeting minutes

·         Vote approved to explore a $20/month or less online accounting program

 

Technical Commission’s Report (6:50 – 7:00)

·         Tech commission report

- Discussion of number of officials at cyclocross races

- Evaluate # of officials needed per race at end of season

- It’s the promoters responsibility to find out how many officials are going to be present at their races

·         Update  – Dag not present or any officials

- Dag is going to create a portable JR roll-out to bring to races. Official roll-out will be required at the end of the race and will be available prior to the race as well. Endurance Promotions will add this to the race promotion kit. (not present)

- We need to put on a Motor Ref Clinic, we should look to Fall. Bruce will write up a proposal. (not present)

- Class B Officials Clinic sometime this fall, if interested contact Bruce. Next Class C Clinic will be next spring. (not present)

 

 Promoter Committee Report (7:00 – 7:10)

·         We have had 2 races and attendance has been up since last year

·         Promoters need to let racers know when podium ceremonies are going to be

Marketing Committee Report (7:15 – 7:20)

·         Still need new committee head

·         Board will meet to discuss roles and responsibilities

 

Infrastructure Committee Report (7:20 – 7:25)

·         2010 update (Ruggles)      

 

NEW BUSINESS (7:25 - 8:00)

·         JR races: Dag to put together proposal for JR road races (not present)

- Let’s make sure it is inclusive of all JR racers

·         Flyer and ROY discussion for categories and improvements

- Suggestions

* remove concept of upgrade points

get rid of 30+ 4/5, get rid of 40+ women

A field races exactly once per race. For example if there is a 1/2/3 race, then that is the race for 3s. There will not be a separate 3s race.

ROY requirements will be discussed and voted on in December. ROY races will be announced in February and ROY races will have to have their flyers in soon after. Deadline to be discussed in Dec.

- Recommendation is $10 for JR race.
