In an ongoing effort to make effective use of funds collected by the MCF through rider surcharges, a new Junior Development Program is being proposed. This program would provide support to local junior racers, for those who have the desire and dreams to pursue bicycle racing at regional, national, and even world levels.

The program could utilize the MCF's 501(c)3 status to solicit tax deductable donations from supporters near and far, who are interested in shifting some of their charitable giving, to help fund young riders dreams. Part of the plan would be to hold fundraiser events similar to the one planned at the Fix Studio this Friday, Oct 21st, in support of local junior Jordan Cullen's European Cross Campaign.

Watch for more details, as we solidify plans for this MCF Junior Devo Program.

The 2010 MCF Cyclocross Season is shaping up very nicely. A special thanks to all the event promoters for getting the planning started early to help expedite the proactive posting of event information. Links to all flyers have been posted on the Calendar and Results tabs on this site.

Training and learning opportunities kick off the season. This year, there is an 8 week, Tuesday Night Cross Training Series, starting Sept 7, in St. Louis Park. There is also the Cyclocross Cobweb Remover Clinic on Sept 12 in Bayport, MN.
