Series Points and Awards

Some riders may have an option of riding in different Lazer categories (e.g., a 36 year old, category 2 male may ride the category 1/2 or master 35+ race). These riders must specify at registration for each event which Lazer category they will compete.

Final Lazer standings will be based on a rider's total points within their selected category, for all 4 Lazer series events. The first, second, and third place riders within each Lazer category, for the series, will receive a trophy.

Men Cat 1/2 Series Payout: $250, $165, $125, $100, $85, $75, $65, $55, $45, $35

Women Cat 1/2 Series Payout: $150, $100, $75, $50, $25

The Lazer competition is considered a series competition and all USA Cycling rules shall apply. If a tie occurs, the USAC rules for determining the winner will apply.

Placing within the Lazer competition is based on the highest to lowest point totals.

Events with combined fields will have points awarded based on the riders' placing against other riders of the same Lazer category (i.e. In a 1/2/3 race, a Cat 3 rider who finishes 8th overall and is the first Cat 3 finisher will earn 100 Lazer points).
